Terms of Use

These terms cover the Sideline Instant Replay app for iPhone and iPad ("the app"), provided by its maker, Sideline Instant Replay ("we"). By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Licence
The app is licensed to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies to every app from the App Store. These terms add to it. Where the two differ, Apple's agreement wins for anything about the App Store and these terms for anything about the app itself.
Your recordings
Everything you record, score, export or upload is yours. We claim no rights in it and never receive a copy. You are responsible for recording only where and whom you are allowed to record: check the rules of the venue, league or school, and the law where you are, especially for recording minors and for audio.
Free and paid versions
Recording and replaying are free and unlimited on every device. The free version limits exporting, sharing and streaming to 60 minutes in any 24-hour period, and reserves scrubbing and remote pause for the paid version. The paid version is an auto-renewing subscription, currently US$1.99 per month or US$14.99 per year, sold through the App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase; the subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you can manage or cancel it in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions on your device. Prices may differ by country and may change with notice through the App Store. Refunds are handled by Apple.
A phone paired with a recorder that has the paid version gets the paid features for that session. The recorder decides what it serves; nothing in these terms gives a paired phone a right to features the recorder does not offer.
What you may not do
- Use the app to record people in places where they expect privacy, or in breach of any law or venue rule.
- Interfere with another person's phones or recordings, including by guessing pairing codes.
- Reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app except as Apple's agreement allows.
No warranty
The app is provided as is. We try hard to make it reliable, but a phone can run out of storage, overheat, lose its connection or be interrupted by iOS, and a recording can be lost. Do not rely on the app as the only record of anything that matters to you. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including lost footage, and our total liability for anything arising from the app is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, in which case they apply as far as they can.
Changes and termination
We may change the app or these terms. Material changes to the terms are shown in the app once before they apply, and the date above moves. You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it; subscriptions are cancelled through Apple as described above.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
